The United States Geological Survey recently released a study showing that sea levels are rising on the East Coast at three times the global rate. But rather than working to save North Carolina’s coast for future generations, the NC General Assembly decided to side with climate change deniers, delaying the use of scientific sea level rise projections in coastal planning for four years.
