  Dear Friend, If you use Windows, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, or any other Microsoft product, you need to know about the ties between Microsoft and the Heartland Institute, a leading climate change denial “think tank.” Heartland is a multi-million dollar institution that is behind much of the efforts to cast doubt on climate change in this country. Documents recently leaked from Heartland revealed its funder list, which includes Microsoft and a number of major corporations. Microsoft has long been a proponent of action around climate change. For them to support Heartland is the height of hypocrisy.
